When I was a boy, my mother, pursuing her Ph.D., boarded a flight to the USA and took me along. English, a language never heard in the house, suddenly became my world. I remember starting my first day in an American classroom knowing only some thirty stray words. So many words remained unknown to me that strange polysyllabic sounds would blossom amid my teacher’s and classmates’ sentences when they spoke to me. The sound of their voices said that they belonged.
As an observant child, I was quick to seek out popular trends. By reading Marvel, I was welcomed into the Avengers vs. X-Men debate. By collecting Pokémon cards, I won countless duels with my Mewtwo.
I shared traditional Chinese poems during the International Festival and was proud to find the largest crowd gathering before my booth. The days flew by in heartfelt laughs, and before I knew it, I fit in with a strong sense of identity from both cultures.

最初的相识
结束了四年的留美旅途，我回到天津，在一众国际学校当中选择了法拉古特。她是那样的充满活力，独特却又包容，正是我所期盼的。
入学的那年夏天是最引人追忆的。恰同学少年，风华正茂；一群有着不同理想的人聚在一起，一起欢笑，一起奔跑，一起为各自的抱负奋斗，日长飞絮轻。
回看最初的自然课笔记，这些现在看起来已经略显稚嫩的字迹，曾饱含着我对未来的遐想和知识的渴求,更在我心中，埋下大学申请生物专业的种子。
我的同学
在我们称之为生活的列车上，我们全都是别人生活里的偶然事件。在列车行驶的这三年里，有人姗姗来迟，和车上的人相见恨晚；也有人中途到站，和乘客们挥手道别。而当真正的离别来临时，我们都感到抱歉；因为这是一段终身难忘的旅途。

还是在年少春衫薄时结识的朋友们，

我的老师们
我要感谢所有法拉古特的老师们，特别是Belinda，Fiona, Chris, 李姗姗老师，王红艳老师，焦璐老师，刘中然老师，金伯伦老师，步春娟老师，王禹晨老师，马晶老师以及最最亲爱的班主任张颖老师。
每位老师对我来说都是灯塔一般的存在，恩师二字有过之而无不及。这些年来你们辛苦啦，谢谢！

对待食物的态度，就是对待自己的态度。.
蔡澜先生曾发表一篇文章《今天也要好好吃饭》，很好的概述了我心中：吃与人生的态度。
“我们喜欢吃东西的人，当然也须尝遍亚洲、欧洲和非洲的佳肴。吃的文化，是交朋友最好的武器。”
滑雪，水肺潜水
滑雪可以是一辈子的爱好。初学的时候享受这种无动力运动带来的乐趣，就像小时候拿着滑板车一遍又一遍从小土坡上冲下来，乐此不疲。
入门了，开始操控雪板和控制速度，体会雪板划过雪面的奇妙感觉，感受高速滑行的飘逸，从不断地摔倒中找到提高的空间。
水平更进一步，便开始不再满足于在雪道上压弯，开始飞跳台，开始变得自由自在无拘无束。这种不断尝试某个动作却总是失败，在经历无数次摔倒并最终完成的美妙感受，是难以用言语形容的。
在碧波之下背着氧气瓶，悠哉游哉地追随鱼群，观赏珊瑚；完成对自己身体和内心的探索，感受茫茫大海里渺小的自己。水下的每一分钟都是值得回味的！
我的家庭，
我永远的避风港
母亲：留美博士，二十余年大学从教经历。
父亲：IT高级工程师。
他们认为，父母理解信任孩子、积极引领孩子拓展人生宽度，对孩子健康成长特别重要。

华盛顿大学圣路易斯分校Biology 专业为我提供在生物学专业领域拓展视野的诸多机会，我想这是我最终选择它的原因。
随着了解的深入，他们所能提供的众多严谨而专业的生物学科研项目，丰富的实习和职业资源等不仅能够满足对微生物学学习的热忱，还能认识一众同样具备挑战思维和改变世界梦想的同学和教师们，这让我非常期待。
